GES Personal Identification exercise held at Osino

The Personal Identification Exercise involving workers of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Osino Zone of the Fanteakwa District in the Eastern Region took place at Akim Osino on Thursday

More than 500 workers were identified under a head-count exercise by the GES.

The workers from Osino, Nsutam, Juaso, Saamang, Dwenase, Abompe, Hemang, Gyampomani and Dome were made up of mostly teachers, watchmen and office staff.

The Circuit Supervisor of the District Education Office at Fanteakwa, Mr Owusu Gyakari said the exercise was aimed at checking “ghost” workers and enhance administration.

Mr Awusu Chamba, one of the workers described it as useful and urged the government to conduct such exercises periodically as a way of checking malpractices at work places.
