Information gathered by Atinkaonline indicates that the eldest son of former Metropolitan Chief Executive for Tema, Kempes Ofosuware on Monday night subjected his step-mother to merciless beatings at his Community “3” residence.
According to sources, neighbours who heard the screams of the former MCE’s wife, rushed to the house to rescue her.
Meanwhile, the former MCE has denied subjecting his wife to severe beatings. Earlier reports had indicated that Mr Ofosuware was the one who subjected the woman to merciless beatings.
Speaking to Atinka News, the Former MCE, who also stood on the ticket of the ruling NDC for the Tema East constituency in the last election, said he has never beaten anybody. He explained that, it was rather his eldest son who subjected his wife to merciless beatings after a verbal confrontation .
According to the politician, the gentleman fled the house after the encounter, adding that he does not know his whereabouts.
The woman is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
