Madam Eva, head mistress of Amaakron Methodist Basic School wailed inconsolably considering the possibility that her candidates may not be able to retake the cancelled papers.
The collapsed bridge serves as a boundary between Adeeso and Bodjiase. It was brought down this morning after a heavy rain.
Unfortunately Asamankese Bridge which serves as an alternative has also collapsed some time ago due to the strong rains that has been destroying so many things in this short period.
The only alternative candidates have now is to travel through Greater Accra Region and link to their examination center through a town called Osofo Lantey, Okpong in the Upper West Akyem District.
Some Okada bikers are requesting to take GH?5 before they convey candidates through Greater Accra to the Upper West Akyem District BECE Center. The situation is really tough for the candidates who have found themselves in this unfortunate condition.
However our reporter Prince Collins Benyin added that students can still make it to the exams center on time if they organize themselves and travel on one bus. He explained that some candidates will be late when they try to get to the center individually.
