Parliament is weak – Kofi Capito

Consumer Rights Advocate, Kofi Kapito, has said Ghana’s parliament was a weak one that has failed to make its position on certain issues of national interest known.

In an interview with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa Tuesday, Kapito said he wasn’t happy with the way members of the House exhibit bias on a number of issues.

“Parliament is weak. I understand the whip system. In other jurisdiction the whip works just like any other but your allegiance to your constituency. It is your duty to say that i will speak on this.

“I trust them but i think they are weak.”

Capito was responding to a number of issues of national interest.
