‘Leave Accra if you can’t abide by our customs’ – Ga State

The Ga traditional Council has asked residents of the capital city who are unwilling to abide by the customs and traditions of the Ga people to pack their bags and leave.

The call comes after the deluge of criticisms and mockery heaped on the Council by the public following their claim that the recent flood and fire disaster that claimed over 150 lives was triggered by the ‘Dumsor vigil’ and the popular bout between Ayitey Powers and Bukom Banku.

Speaking to Nii Ayi Tagoe on the Morning Zoo on Starr FM on Saturday, the Gyaasets3 of the Ga State Nii Yaotey Otuga said people must realise that the spiritual needs of the State is more important to them than money.

“The spiritual needs of the state is better than money. For the Gas, it means a lot.

“People cannot come here and impose their views on everybody; then you have to pack your bag and baggage and leave the place for us,” he fumed.
