GHC10 to delegates was done in good spirit – Awuku

National Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku, has defended the party’s decision to help transport delegates to and from their voting centres during last weekend’s parliamentary primaries.

He told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Tuesday that it was important the party did that on such an occasion, where there would have been the potential of certain persons capitalizing on the lack of it, insisting the act was done in the best interest of the party.

“The gesture the party undertook wasn’t for any other reason but to absorb the transport fares of our dear delegates,” he explained.

Delegate at last weekend’s primaries were given monies between GHc4 and GHc10 to take care of their transport fares to and from their respective polling stations.
