MTN completes social media training program for Ghanaian journalist

Telecommunication giants MTN have completed their latest training program for selected Ghanaian journalists in Accra.

The program, dubbed: ‘MTN Media Development Forum’ focused on training journalists on the effective use of the various social media platforms.

The one-day program which was held at the College of Surgeons and Physicians at Ridge had veteran journalist Kwasi Gyan Apenteng and CEO of PopOut Ghana Maximus Ametorgoh as the lead instructors.

Mr. Apenteng who is a member of the National Media Commission started off the session with a lecture on Investigative Journalism while Maximus Ametorgoh focused on the effective use of social media to promote the work of journalists.

This is the second capacity-building forum organized by MTN as part of its Media Development Forum series.

The first was organized in February where participants were taken through the technicalities of feature writing by Mr. Apenteng.

Participants at the forum included selected online media editors, representatives of the Network of Communications Reporters (NCR), Sports Writers Association of Ghana, and Journalists for Business Advocacy (JBA).
