KMA pledges to support AMA

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has pledged to support the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) in finding ways to effectively manage the current flood situation in Accra.

In a goodwill message released by the KMA on the flood and fire incident that hit some parts of the Accra Metropolis last Wednesday, signed by the Public Relations Officer, Godwin Okumah Nyame for the Municipal Chief Executive, it said the situation is a trying moment for city managers not only in Accra, but in the entire country.

“The KMA pledges maximum co-operation to brainstorm and find better ways of competently managing the cities in the country to prevent such calamities in future.”

The management and staff of the KMA as a sister city, expresses their condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families in these trying times, it said.

“Our hearts go out to the families of the victims who lost their lives, those rendered homeless and businesses that have experienced damages and losses. It is our prayer that God gives you the strength, comfort and hope for a new beginning,” the release said.
