Minister sympathizes with gas explosion victims

Nana Oye Lithur, Minister of Gender and Social Protection has extended her deepest condolences to the victims in the gas explosion disaster.

The disaster which occurred late in the night of Wednesday, June 3, claimed about two hundred lives.

Nana Oye Lithur, who was on a tour to access the implementation of the second phase of the LEAP project in the Western Region, therefore abrogated it as a sign of sympathy with bereaved families.

The Gender Minister said women and children were key population figures and such a disaster was indeed worrying.

She noted the difficulties some homes would go through and said her ministry was prepared to assist in that regard.
