Chief appeals for industrial support

Otobour Gyan Kwesi, Aburihene, has appealed for governmental support for Carridem Industries, formerly Nsawam Cannery, and other private industries in the Nsawam -Adoagyiri area, to help create market for fruit producers, and employment for the youth.

He made the appeal during the inauguration of the third production line of Blue Skies, a fruit processing company at Nsawam.

Otobour Gyan Kwesi commended the founders of Blue Skies for their initiative, and said it had provided market for fruit producers in the area, as well as job for the youth.

He appealed for the construction of the 14-kilometre Aburi-Nsawam road, and the rehabilitation of the Aburi Botanical Gardens, to attract tourists to generate revenue for the country.

The Aburihene urged the youth of the area to develop interest in the cultivation of pineapples, to help sustain fruit processing companies in the area.
