Ex-President Kufuor back home from long trip

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor returned home Wednesday night after about three weeks’ stay abroad.

During the period the Former President delivered the 126th graduation speech at the Delaware State University (DSU), where he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Humane Lettersfor his exceptional leadership qualities and service towards uplifting humanity.

Former President Kufuor was the first ever former head of state to speak at DSU. About 500 students graduated at the ceremony attended by the Senator for Delaware and Members of the State House of Representatives among others.

His speech was on: ‘Global Leadership and the Youth – The need for a Transformation.’

Former President Kufuor also visited the Vatican, Italy, where together with Otumfuor Osei Tutu II Asantehene, he was received in audience by Pope Francis I.
