Former President John Rawlings has bemoaned the poor manner in which the ‘State House’ has been maintained over the years.
According to him, the manner in which the state facility has been managed tells badly on the maintenance culture of the country.
“Go back to the days and just take a picture of it; this is a sad reflection, the kind of irresponsibility I keep talking about.
“Fortunately, the vice president sitting next to me also drew my attention to it. He also noticed it, it’s nice to know that some people up there are aware of the unpleasant things that have been going on, this is a sad reflection,” the former president told the media at the state funeral service held for the late Theodosia Okoh, the designer of Ghana’s national flag on Thursday.
Mrs Okoh, who designed the national flag died on April 19,2015, at the age of 92.
She is survived by three children, including Kwasi Okoh, Stanley Kwame Okoh and Theodosia Amma Jones-Quartey.
She was born Theodosia Salome Asihene on June 14, 1922 at Anum in the Asuogyaman District in the Eastern Region.
She was the fourth of eight children born to Very Reverend Emmanuel Victor Asihene, a former moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and Madam Dora Asihene.
