Cassava Processing Machines For Avedzi Women

The Minister for Women and Children Affairs, Mrs. Gladys Asmah, has presented as set of cassava processing machine to the Avedzi Women Group at a ceremony held at Avedzi in the Volta Region.

The machines, according to the Minister, is to boost food production in the area. She said there was the need to establish cottage industries in the farming communities to process foodstuffs in order to reduce post-harvest losses, and “ensure availability of food on our markets at reasonable prices”.
