A 25-year-old mentally retarded lady on Sunday walked from Ashaiman to the Accra Psychiatric hospital in a padlocked chain.
The patient, identified only as Patience was discharged from the facility in February this year after her condition improved considerably.
But the continuous physical abuse by her family has compelled her to run back to the facility.
Speaking to Starr News’ Esi Benewaa Nyame Patience said her family has been extremely unkind to her since her discharge from the mental facility.
