5 Die In Adawso Accident

Five persons have been confirmed dead following a car accident at Adawso in the Eastern Region on Friday afternoon.

A private saloon car rammed into a group of market women, who were busily selling at the Adawso market after the driver lost control following a brake failure.

Speaking to Atinka News, Amoah Isaac Atiemo, an eyewitness said four people died on the spot while one person died upon arrival at the Mampong hospital.

Seven (7) other people who sustained life- threatening injuries were sent to the Mampong Hospital and the Koforidua Central Hospital respectively .

The driver of the saloon car took to his heels after the accident and is yet to be found for questioning. The police had a mounted a search for the driver as at press. time.
