Panic At Meyiwa-Apersua As Felled Tree Resurrects

Meyiwa-Apersua (Eastern Region), 15 Oct. Panic gripped the people of Meyiwa-Apersua in the Fanteakwa district when a tree trunk which fell three years ago, was found standing upright at the outskirts of the town. Madam Ansah Dedo, 60, who took newsmen to inspect the phenomenon said the tree fell during a rainstorm three years ago. She said she and her family had been chopping parts of the tree as fuel wood since then but when they went for some firewood on October 4, to their surprise, they saw the trunk standing upright. The incident has been drawing several people from nearby communities to the scene anxious to see it.
