Nduom urges gov’t to address concerns of Western Chiefs

President of Groupe Nduom and a former Minister of Energy Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has called on the Petroleum Commission to conduct an analysis of the needs and demands of vulnerable communities in the Western Region where oil and gas activities are taking place.

Addressing participants at the recently held 1st BTA –Petroleum Commission BlackGold Summit on local content in Accra, the former energy minister supported the demands by Western Region chiefs for 10% of total revenue generated from petroleum exports and urged them to ask for more.

He said should there be any spillage of crude oil such communities would bear the brunt of the crises more than any other person.
