Prosecuting, Police Inspector D.D.Yorkyile, told the tribunal, chaired by Mr. Paul Affum that in September this year, the accused allegedly beat his wife, Madam Comfort Yaa Atuah. Madam Atuah was rushed to the St. Joseph’s Hospital at Koforidua where she was admitted and discharged three weeks later. A week after her discharge, Madam Atuah died suddenly and the body was conveyed to the Police Hospital, Accra, for postmortem examination.
