The Media is fond of misquoting me – Edward Mahama

A former presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Dr Edward Nasigiri Mahama, says he has consciously kept mute over developments in the country because the media has the tendency to take his remarks out of context.

“I have become quiet because those who have the voices, those who have the radio and those who sell the newspaper are not looking for truth but looking for means to sell their papers.

“And so whatever you say, they skew it to mean one thing or the other and since I don’t want to be misrepresented, I kept off,” the Gynecologist told Morning Starr’s Kafui Dey on Starr FM Monday.

According to him, the Ghanaian economy appears to be struggling because people put the interest of their political parties ahead of the national interest.

“The passion in me about Ghana is such that I see only Ghana, that’s why I wrote – “The new Ghanaian; the mandate for change”.

“Ghanaians must learn to put God and country first, our neighbours second and ourselves last”.
