The Speaker of Parliament, Peter Ala Adjetey arrived in the country last night from UK after a successful heart surgery.
Mr Ala Adjetey was away for about five weeks receiving treatment which is estimated to have cost the country $69,000.
Parliamentary aides say the Speaker could resume work before the end of the week.
