NDC MP Clashes With DCE Over ?20 Million

…. misappropation of the District Assembly Common Fund in the Ketu-North District Assembly
Mr. Modestus Ahiable, MP and the DCE for the District, Mr. Linus Godman Koffie, are in arms over how the former disbursed a ?20 million Common Fund, approved by the General House or the Assembly for the Ketu District.

THE INDEPENDENT was reliably informed that the MP and the Assembly members were not convinced about how the said ?20 million was used.

Sources at a meeting told the paper that the DCE had earlier informed the MP that the amount quoted was used for repair works on the fence around the Dodze market and the maintenance of some stalls and stores which served as death traps in the past.

Meanwhile, members who spoke to the paper bemoaned the fact that the DCE undertook the project without the approval of the Assembly though they envisaged the projects would be useful.
