There is “confidence of hope” for Ghana – Nana Addo

New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo is urging Ghanaians to celebrate Easter “as a real source of hope” despite the difficulties Ghana is going through.

According to him, “there is a brighter future ahead of us” hence Ghanaians should “use this Easter celebration to renew and strengthen our faith in God and conduct ourselves in a manner that underlines our commitment to the fact that, despite all the manifold difficulties we are encountering, there is confidence of hope for the future of our country.”

In his Easter message, Nana Addo said: “As we celebrate Easter, which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, I send my best wishes to Ghanaians, Christians, and members of the New Patriotic Party.

“For me, and for countless other Christians, Easter is a time for reflection and renewal. It reminds us of our responsibilities to God and, as God’s children, our responsibilities to one another. We remember the grace of God, who loves us so deeply that He gave us his only Son to die for us that we might be forgiven our sins and granted everlasting life. It is also a time that we recommit ourselves to following His example, to love, serve and sacrifice for one another just as He did for every one of us.

“The resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day remains for the Christian the ultimate demonstration of victory over adversity. It is a testimony of a new life of hope, promise and fulfilment for those who believe and work hard towards the achievement of victory.

“I wish all Ghanaians a Happy Easter. May God bless our country Ghana, the NPP, and us all.”
