Odumprala Basic School appeals for help

Mr Paa Alidu Sulley, the headmaster for Odumprala M/A Basic School in the Ga South Municipality, has appealed to government and organisations to come to their aid.

Mr Sulley said his school lacked certain facilities, making teaching and learning a bit difficult for them.

“We are doing well as a rural school but challenges, such as lack of textbooks, computers and laboratory equipment militate against our effort at providing quality education to our pupils”, he said.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency at his office, the headmaster said, “We need teachers’ quarters here because the village lacks adequate accommodation facilities for our teachers.

“Even the headmaster’s bungalow is also in a bad state. Some of our classrooms have to be modified to meet the standard of a modern school”.

He was however appreciative to the municipal assembly for putting up a six-unit classroom block for the primary department with an office, store and library.
