Veep meets NDC Japan Branch

Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur has called on the Japan branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to increase their level of political activism and also build closer relations with the party back home.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur made the call when he met with the executives of the NDC Japan branch in Tokyo.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur is attending the third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan.

The conference scheduled for March 14 to 18, is expected to adopt guidelines on bolstering counter-measures to climate-related disasters, which are worsening in some parts of the world.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur explained recent developments in the country as well as within the NDC to the gathering.

He particularly touched on the economy and the current energy situation and also outlined the government’s interventions in addressing them.

Mr Emmanuel Dzeamesi-Kudaya, Chairman of Japan Branch of NDC, thanked Vice President Amissah-Arthur for the meeting and assured the party of their unflinching support and commitment to see it re-elected in the 2016 general elections.
