Man cuts off penis

Residents of Effiakuma, a Muslim-dominated community in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region, became astounded when news reached them that a 30-year-old popular mason in the area had cut off his own manhood.

The bizarre incident reportedly took place last Wednesday after the mason had closed from the hard day’s work and returned home.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that Kweku Abeiku strangely cut off his manhood after allegedly inflicting knife wounds on some parts of his body in his room.

Eyewitnesses told DAILY GUIDE that Kweku Abeiku bled profusely after chopping off his manhood, fell unconscious and was rushed to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi. While some people alleged that Abeiku cut deep into his sex organ leaving a tiny flesh supporting it from falling off, others also asserted that the mason completely chopped it off.

Adiza Salifu, a sister of the victim who disclosed that Abeiku cut parts of his manhood described the situation as strange.

She added that she was astonished by the happening but denied assertions that her brother might have been suffering from some mental ailment.

She explained that on that fateful day, Abeiku returned from work with a friend and that after the two of them had finished eating, the friend left.

She indicated that her brother then entered his room and locked himself up, adding that some few minutes later, Abeiku was heard shouting but people in the house ignored him apparently because he was fond of doing that.

She posited that it was until another friend came to visit and forced Abeiku’s door open that it was discovered that he had injured himself.

“So the friend raised an alarm and when we went to the room we saw Abeiku lying in a pool of blood with cuts on his hands, stomach and parts of his penis. We reported the case to the police, but we were asked to send him to the hospital,” Adiza underscored.
