Kwaebibirem MP Dissatisfied With Road Network

Kade (Eastern Region), 14 Oct. The Member of Parliament for Kade, Mr. Francis Kwame Nyarko has expressed concern about the poor road network in the Kwaebibirem district and pledged that he will do his best to ensure that the situation is reversed. Mr. Nyarko made this observation at Kade during the annual delegates congress of the New Patriotic Party to elect new officers for the kade constituency. He said out of the 250 kilometres of roads in the district only about 19 kilometres including roads in Kade town have been tarred. The MP also expressed concern about the non-functioning of the railway line from Kade to Accra. Mr. Nyarko gave assurance that he will investigate the reasons for the neglect of the lines by the Ghana Railways Corporation. In the elections supervised by the district electoral commission, Mr. Adansi Awusi, a 58-year-old farmer was elected unopposed as chairman with Mr. kwaku Sarpong, a businessman also retaining his position as first vice-chairman. Mr. Kofi Aning a retired police officer was unanimously elected treasurer while the post of constituency organizer went to Mr. Benjamin Nyanor. The post of youth organiser went to Mr. kwabena Danso Apau.
