‘I’ll unite Ashanti NDC’ – Minister-designate vows

The Ashanti regional Minister designate, Peter Anaafi Mensah has vowed to unite aggrieved supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region.

The former headmaster of the Tepa Senior High School has been nominated for the position by President John Mahama in the latest ministerial reshuffle.

He replaces Samuel Sarpong and his deputy Joseph Yammin who were dismissed some weeks ago following some perceived disagreements within the ranks of the party.

In an interview with Ultimate FM’s Joseph Brenya, the former District Chief Executive under the Rawlings regime said he is well prepared for the job.

“I’m yet to get in there but I believe that whatever problem there may be in there, I will work to fix it because that is what is expected by the President.

“Whether there is misunderstanding or not, it is my duty to ensure that there is peace in the party in the region and I will work towards that,” he stated.
