Aboretum Ecotourism marks Independence with Health Walk

The Bunso Arboretum Ecotourism Centre, in collaboration with the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) at Tafo, had organized a health walk, to promote the health of their workers.

The walk started at six o’clock in the morning at Osiem, and ended at the Arboretum gardens, with aerobics.

Participants of the walk, included staff of CRIG and Ecotourism Centre, as well as workers from other corporate institutions within Tafo and Bunso

Dr William Twum, Director Tyfofa Company Limited, a herbal centre, advised the participants to exercise regularly, eat more fish, and reduce their intake of meat products, to help reduce their their cholestrol level.

He took the opportunity to launch his book titled: “Beware, Life Is Precious,” which contains medicinal plants and their uses, to avoid stroke and cardiac diseases

The Arboretum Ecotoursim hosted more than 7,000 people on the eve of Ghana’s 58th anniversary, most of whom came from Koforidua, Accra, Kumasi and surrounding communities.

The tourists were mostly students, staff of corporate organisations and individuals, who had either visited the canopy walk before, or visiting it the first time.
