Independence Anniversary celebration observed in Winneba

The District Coordinating Director of Effutu, Mr Francis Owusu Ansah, has said Ghana was emerging as a strong nation with steadily growing institutions of governance.

To sustain this, he said, respect must be encouraged between the majority in parliament and the minority to promote a harmonious exchange of views.

Mr Owusu Ansah was a addressing a parade of children and voluntarily organizations to mark the 58th Independence Anniversary celebration in Winneba.

“We can congratulate ourselves for sustaining democratic governance,” he said.

Mr Owusu Ansah stated that development cannot be pursued in an atmosphere of violence and intimidation.
