Emile Short Has Not Resigned

The Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has denied reports that its Chairman, Emile Short has walked off the job. The Ghana Palaver newspaper reported on Tuesday that the Chairman had walked out of his job without handing over notes to his successor.

But the commission says the report was tainted with malicious falsehood.

According to CHRAJ, Mr Short is still at post and currently representing CHRAJ at the 2nd Ministerial Conference on Human Rights in Kigali, Rwanda at the invitation of the UN.

CHRAJ’s deputy Commissioner, Anna Bossman also took a swipe at the Ghana Palaver for publishing the story without cross checking its facts with the commission, saying the paper runs contrary to the ethics of the journalism profession.
