SIM box fraud: Ex-GREDA boss to reappear in court today

The former boss of the Ghana Real Estate Development Association (GREDA) Dr. Alexander Tweneboah who is standing trial for Sim boxing will reappear in court today, Tuesday March 3, 2015.

Dr Tweneboah and nine others were nabbed by a joint Anti-Telecommunication Fraud Taskforce in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service for SIM Boxing.

He was granted bail during the last hearing by the Accra Magistrate court hearing the case.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges of providing unlicensed telecom services and illegally possessing telecom equipment.

Dr Tweneboah and his syndicate are believed to have defrauded the state to the tune of $33 million through their illegal activities.
