KKDA commissions ICT Centre

Alhaji Antiaye Tetteh, the Chief Executive of the Kpone-Katamanso District Assembly (KKDA) has commissioned a Community Information Computer Technology (ICT) centre for the Oyibi electoral area.

The GH¢303,000.00 facility, which was constructed by the Ministry of Communication has a post office, library, internet cafe, hardware and software rooms.

Mr Mohammed A. Yakubu, of the Kpone-Katamanso District Assembly (KKDA), said the facility was not limited to only students but would serve the whole community.

Mr Yakubu said the Assembly has ordered for computers and internet equipment to furnish the internet cafe and appealed to stakeholders to help stock the library.

He stated that the community, especially students must utilize the facility in order to fully benefit from it.

He also appealed to individuals, chiefs and real estate developers to desist from encroaching on reserved lands for the Assembly’s developmental projects.

Alhaji Antiaye Tetteh, KKDA Chief Executive, thanked all stakeholders for their contributions towards the construction of the ICT Centre.

Alhaji Tetteh charged the District guards and parents to guide their children to safely cross the road to utilize the centre.

Nii Borlabi Kukubi Okanshan (VI), Oyibi Chief, urged students to take advantage of the facility to study hard and attain good careers in future, possibly in ICT.

Nii Okanshan urged the Assembly and the government to continue providing developmental projects in the area.
