GNCFC presents items to female medical student at KBTH

The Ghana National Canoe Fishermen Council (GNCFC), has presented assorted items, and an amount of 1,000 Ghana Cedis, to Miss Ruth Naa Dedei, the final-year female student of the University of Ghana Medical School, currently on admission at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The items included beverages, milk, sugar, minerals and mineral water.

She has been on admission at the hospital since January, after sustaining injuries when she jumped from the balcony of the second floor of her hostel, to escape a rape attempt by one Emmanuel Aryee.

Nana Jojo Solomon, and Nii Djamlogja, National Executive Member and Greater-Accra Regional Chairman respectively, who led some members of the Council to the hospital, jointly presented the items to the medical student.

Nana Solomon said the presentation formed part of the Council’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

Miss Dedei thanked the Council for the kind gesture.

Ms Agnes Frimpong, Principal Nursing Officer and Matron at Korl-Bu, who witnessed the presentation, hoped other public-spirited organizations and corporate bodies, will make similar presentations to help put smiles on the faces of inmates at the hospital.
