Sogakofe Senior High School faces danger

Authorities of Sogakofe Senior High School have expressed concern over the absence of a fence wall and this has exposed students to rapists and thieves.

Last year, school authorities appealed to the government and stakeholders to fence the school following intruders’ attempt to rape a number of girls in their dormitory.

Mr Kwame Tewiah Aggor, the Headmaster of the School, said the situation demanded urgent attention by the government.

Mr Aggor told the GNA in an interview that despite repeated calls nothing had been done either by the government or stakeholders, thus putting the lives of the students and the staff in perpetual danger.

He said in November 2014, criminals broke into the school compound and attempted to rape the Girls’ Prefect in the middle of the night when she was visiting the “KVIP” toilet.

“Students are complaining about insecurity but the school is handicapped since we cannot fence the school to give them the protection they deserve,” Mr Agggor said

The Headmaster appealed to the Ghana Education Service and other stakeholders to come to the aid of the school since the situation was worrying and getting out of hand.
