Draughtsman jailed for sodomizing neighbourâ??s son

A 25-year-old draughtsman, who sodomized his neighbour’s 11 year-old son at Ewim, in the Cape Coast Metropolis, has been sentenced to eight years imprisonment by a Cape Coast Circuit Court.
Nathaniel Taylor, pleaded guilty to defilement and was sentenced on his own plea.
Passing sentence, Ms. Audrey Kocuvie-Tay, presiding judge, condemned the act and cautioned others against such despicable acts.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Okyere Andam, who prosecuted earlier, told the court that the complainant, the mother of the boy, unemployed lived with her son, the victim, in the same neighbourhood with Taylor.
He said on Thursday January 27, this year, at about 1830 hours, the victim was watching Zuma, a digital game, on Taylor’s laptop on the porch but Taylor asked him to go into his room and bring a Television remote control.
As soon as the victim entered the room, Taylor followed up, locked the door, got hold of the victim, gagged and tied him against his bed and had anal sex with him.
ASP Andam said Taylor, after satisfying himself, Taylor freed the victim, whom out of fear was unable to disclose the ordeal to his mother until he went to the toilet and had difficulty easing himself making him rush out with his hands covering his buttocks.
He said the Victim’s mother, noticing his son’s strange behavior, questioned him and he recounted that Taylor had had anal sex with him, so she reported the case to the Police who issued medical forms for the victim to attend hospital for examination and treatment.
Taylor was arrested after the medical report was issued
