Zabzugu records massive patronage of NSD

The people of Zabzugu in the Northern Region came out in their numbers to observe the fourth National Sanitation Day (NSD), which was hosted by the region.

Mr Issifu Alidu Laa-Bandow, District Chief Executive, other political leaders, district assembly members, civil and public service workers, students and opinion leaders joined the exercise to desilt choked gutters and collect plastic materials that have made the district capital, filthy.

Mr Laa-Bandow told the people that the NSD would not bring the needed national results if the people in the district fail to live up to expectation, since the issue of sanitation is a collective responsibility.

He urged them to sustain the momentum of the exercise until poor sanitation becomes a thing of the past.
