Police officer shoots dead student of St. Paul’s SHS

A Police officer has shot and killed a student of the St. Paul’s Senior High School in Denu in the Volta region, Starr News has learnt.

The officer who was part of a police team that had been dispatched to the school to quell students riot on campus Friday, mistakenly fired and shot one of them.

Spokesperson for the Police administration, DCP Cephas Arthur who confirmed the incident to Starr News said the Police headquarters has dispatched a crisis management team to the area to immediately begin investigations into the matter.

The officer involved has been arrested and calm has reportedly been restored to the school.
