Chief rebukes Municipal Chief Executive

Nana Berafo Ababio, Chief of Nsesereso in the Dormaa Municipality, on Tuesday sternly and openly rebuked Mr. Gordon Kwaku Asubonteng, the Municipal Chief Executive of Dormaa, for overseeing the location of one of the community day senior high schools in Danyame and not in Nsesereso.

He said the green light had been given for the construction of the school in the area but was shocked when the decision was changed without Mr Asubonteng consulting him.

Nana Berafo Ababio said this when the chief and people of the town held a mini durbar for Mr. Eric Opoku, the Brong–Ahafo Regional Minister, was on a tour of the municipality to inspect projects.

The chief’s rebuke drew support from his people who booed Mr Asubonteng.

Mr. Opoku said it was the vision of President John Dramani Mahama to provide social amenities including electricity, water, schools and roads to all deprived communities in the country.

Mr. Philip Nsiah Sawiri, the Assembly member for Nsesereso, called for the continuation of the electrification project and the tarring of the Antwirifo – Danyame road.

Mr. Eric Opoku said the Danyame-Nsesereso road project has been awarded on contract and work on it would start soon.
