Aspiring assembly member to tackle sanitation problem

A 37-year-old physically challenged aspiring Assembly man for Kotokoli-Zongo electoral area in the Bolgatanga Municipality, Mr Muniru Suruj, has pledged to tackle the problem of sanitation in the area if elected.

Mr Suruj, an Arabic Teacher at Waternia English and Arabic School, is contesting with the incumbent Assembly man for the area, Mr Tahiru Alabila.

Speaking to the GNA, Mr Suruj who attributed the outbreak of diseases such as malaria, cholera and typhoid in the area to the poor sanitation, said he would map out strategies with the constituents to address the problem.

He appealed to the electorate to give him the nod to enable him deal with the problem particularly de-silting of gutters.
