Complainant storms court with cutlass

A court in Tamale in the Northern region, has ordered the arrest of a complainant who stormed the court with a cutlass.

The court was hearing a case of assault filed by the complainant when he attempted to slash an accused person with the cutlass.

The timely intervention of the police prevented the complainant from injuring the witness.

The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh said about two weeks ago, a complaint was lodged with the police that the complainant was coming from the Tamale Airport when suddenly a Toyota Camry crossed him.

When the vehicle stopped, some guys emerged from the vehicle and one of them used a pistol to hit him on the forehead and he had a deep cut.

According to the police, unfortunately instead of allowing the court to handle the case, the complainant came to court to avenge what happened to him.

The police said when he saw one of the accused persons in court, he tried slashing him with the cutlass.
