Headmaster appeals for JHS block

Mr Welbeck Laboe Sodzi, Headmaster of Medie Presby Junior High School near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region, has appealed to the Ga West Municipal Assembly for a permanent Junior High School (JHS) block.

Currently the stage ‘3’ Junior High students of the school who are about to sit in the forthcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), this year are holding their classes under a temporal structure without walls.

Mr Sodzi made the appeal when he took the Ghana News Agency to inspect the temporal structure which was put up by the school’s Parent Teacher Association.

He said anytime the rain was about to set in, classes ought to end abruptly, which disrupted lessons, adding that, such a situation did not help in quality teaching and learning and therefore there was the need for a permanent structure.

He, however, commended the members of the school’s Parents Teacher Association for providing the temporal structure for the children.
