One injured in fresh Bawku gunfire

One person was injured by gunshot Wednesday night in a fresh shooting in Bawku in the Upper East region.

The victim, according to the Bawku divisional police commander, Chief Superintendent Kaledzi Tefutor was shot in the arms and limbs while in the company of his friends.

It is unclear what triggered the attack.

Chief Supt Tefuto notes that the victim is responding to treatment at the Bawku Presbyterian Hospital.

He said the main suspect of the crime has been identified and is being pursued by the Police.

Meanwhile, Police and military presence in the area has also been increased to ward off criminals and similar incidents.
