Manhyia Palace denies summoning Afriyie Acquah’s wife

The Manhyia Palace has denied reports it has summoned Amanda Acquah – the wife of Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah.

It follows the circulation of an audio recording in which Amanda accused a number of people including the Otumfuo of flirting with the fiancée of her ex-husband Ken Agyepong.

Amanda has incurred the wrath of some chiefs from the Ashanti region despite her clarification that she was not referring to the Asante king.

Starr News’ checks at the Palace indicate the Asantehene remains unfazed about the allegation on social media.

Our credible sources at the Palace described the comments as “baseless allegation.”

However, Starr News understands the Asanteman will be meeting today, and the issue is likely to come up for discussion.

Meanwhile, a few days ago when the issue went viral on social media, the Ghana FA reportedly asked the player to call his wife to order.

Amanda made a litany of sleazy accusations against her former husband and other prominent men in society. The tape reportedly caused some frenzy in the Ghana camp in Spain.
