‘No bus of MMT is missing’ – Dep Managing Director

The besieged Deputy managing director of state transport company, Metro Mass Transit John Awuku Dzuazah has stated categorically that no bus of the company is missing, contrary to claims by angry workers of the public transport service.

Angry workers of the MMT Wednesday stormed and locked up Awuku Dzuazah’s office accusing him of mismanagement.

The workers have appealed to President John Mahama to sack both him and the board chairman of the company.

The workers claim Mr. Dzuazah and Osabarima Ansah Sasraku III have played roles in the recent disappearance of some Metro Mass buses.

However, speaking to Joy FM, Dzuazah said the claims are baseless.

“ …there is an alleged missing buses, but to the best of my knowledge, no bus is missing, the MD knows that no bus is missing.

“We told the board on Wednesday last week that no bus is missing and the board directed that we put it out and tell the people of Ghana that no serviceable bus of the company is missing,” he stated.

He also denied reports that he has been interdicted by the board of the company.
