“I’m not an NPP member” – Casely-Hayford

A leading member of the pressure group #OccupyGhana, Sydney Casely-Hayford, has dismissed rumours that he owes political allegiance to the main opposition New Patriotic Party.

According to him, his only interest in social politicking is to promote good governance.

“I’m not an NPP member, I’m not an NDC member, I’m not a PPP member, I don’t belong to any political party,” the financial analyst stated in an interview with Radio Gold on Tuesday.

He continued: “I criticize people who don’t practice good governance, but if the NPP agenda is good governance, then, fine, I’m happy to belong to that group of people”.

He said attempts by some people to tag him and other members of the anti-corruption group with political colours will not deter them from their desire to build a more responsible society.
