I ‘m not obliged to discuss prophecies with anyone – Owusu-Bempah

The General Overseer of the Glorious Way Ministries, Rev. Gabriel Owusu-Bempah, has disagreed with the call for him to have discussed the details of his prophecy with the leadership of Manhyia before going public.

According to him, the name of the Ashanti King was not categorically mentioned as many are claiming, and therefore could not have sought audience with Manhyia.

“..the message was to direct my church members in their line of prayer and did not have any evil intent behind it. We all need to pray to avert any calamity, because I am not the only prophet in history to have received a message from God about a leader.

“We must also take note that I am not obliged to discuss these issues in the quiet with anyone because I go according to the dictates of the Spirit. No one can instruct a fetish priest to stop his incantations and prophecies to it behind closed doors with those it concerns.

“So it must be clear that I cannot leave my microphone and go into consultation with Manhyia, because I have even prophesied to my own biological father in public,” he disclosed on Okay FM.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah said this in reaction to Baffuor Asabre Kogyawoasu Ababio III, the Nsumankwahene of the Ashanti kingdom, who called on him to apologize to the people of Ashanti and Manhyia for making public his prophecies about the Ashanti King.

“One cannot seek for popularity at the expense of the Golden Stool, and if Owusu-Bempah knows what is best for him he better apologises,” Nsumankwahene stated; but Rev, Owusu-Bempah is of the opinion that his utterances were under the direction of God.

“…I did not say Otumfuo would die but even if I did, I did not do it with evil intent. It was by the direction of God,” he maintained.
