Don’t become agents of troublemakers – Philanthropist

Ghanaian Youths have been advised to resist persons who desire to create chaos for their selfish gains instead of advancing the cause of national peace and development.

Mr Daniel Tetteh, a businessman and philanthropist, who gave the advice, said unstable societies shatter dreams, aspirations and devalue the dignity of the human being.

Mr Tetteh was speaking at the inauguration of the Appolonia Youth Development Association at Appolonia, in the Kpone Katamanso District of the Greater Accra Region.

The 200 strong-member-association seeks to mobilize the youth in and around Appolonia to initiate and support development programmes in the area.

According to Mr Tetteh, the most exciting period of one’s life, is in his or her youth, and no one had the right to take away that excitement and positive energy, which would ultimately define the person.

“If anyone pays or even beg you to fight his battle, tell him or her that you have a better battle which is your aspirations and dreams,” he said.

He commended members of the association for coming together to advance the cause of the town saying,” When the town becomes orderly, beautiful and attractive, we will all celebrate and commend ourselves.”

Mr Tetteh donated a furnished office with a computer to house the association and pledged more support.

Nii Nuetey Amobi II, Chief of Appolonia, pledged to protect the resources of the town for the benefit of the people.

He encouraged the indigenes and settlers to make the settlement an investment destination.
