Christ Apostolic fetes the needy

The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) International has organised its annual end of year party for the aged, widows, and retired pastors and their families.

More than 150 persons received cash prizes of between GH¢ 250.00 and GH¢ 600.00 in addition to hampers as their Christmas gifts.

Addressing the ceremony, Apostle Dr Stephen Kwame Amoani, Chairman of the Church, said Christians celebrate the birth of Christ because: “He was the greatest gift God has provided”.

“Christmas is, therefore, celebrating the gift of God and the gift is also the reason for mankind to give to others, especially the needy during such festivities like Christmas,” he said.

“The birth of Christ also demands that we must love one another because He first loved us,” Apostle Amoani said. “Grace, kindness and the mercies provided by Christ should also be replicated by Christians giving same to others.”

He asked Ghanaians to share what they have at all times, especially on occasions that demanded such gifts.

Apostle Amoani told the Ministers of the gospel to use their love for God in fulfilling and performing their Ministerial duties as ministers of reconciling man not only to God, but to one another.

“Jesus was able to fulfil his assignment because of the love for God and if you use God’s gift and the love for him to minister, you would serve as instruments of reconciliation for all manner of people,” he said.

Apostle Emmanuel Donkor, who distributed the gifts, on behalf of the recipients, thanked the Executive of the Church for the kind gesture.
