Wa Police harassing us – Dondoli residents

Residents of Dondoli have accused the Police in Wa, the Upper West region of severe harassment following some clashes.

The Police have beefed up security in the area following a shooting incident between residents of Dondoli and Djedjeyiri.

One person was killed and three others injured in the incident which was sparked by a disagreement over a parcel of land.

Spokesperson for the Dondoli residents, Saani Mohammed told Starr News that the police have been molesting and harassing the residents after the incident.

“We were just having our good morning or prayer for the woman who died and the security people came with their cars and stood right in front of the gathering, they molested people which shouldn’t be the case.

“Security men are supposed to control the crowd, they are to be peaceful with us and not to torment us,” Mohammed said.
