Security men warned against phone calls on duty

The former Eastern Regional Police Commander, Mr Gyamera Yeboah, has expressed concern about the long hours some security personnel spend making calls when they are at post.

He said such negligence could lead to loss of lives and property for which the personnel are expected to protect.

Mr Gyamera was speaking at the inauguration of Glorious Bay Hotel at Akim Anyinem in the Birim South District.

The facility has 15 rooms and other facilities.

Mr Isaac Appiah-Kumi, Owner of the hotel said, he established the facility as part of his interest to help in the development of the town and to offer employment to the youth in the area.

The chief of the town, Nana Tiefen Amisare III, appealed to other natives of the town to invest at home to facilitate development.
